Job Summary

The Chief Financial Officer will report to the CEO and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. This individual will have primary day-to-day responsibilities for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities of the company.

Essential Functions
  • Direct the company's strategic planning initiatives and help to build out strong practices around financial planning and analysis.
  • Responsible for coordinating the annual audit, preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and tax returns.
  • Designs and implements effective systems, reports, and models to measure and monitor the company's performance across all business lines and departments.
  • Evaluate profit and cost efficiencies in various areas of the organization as needed.
  • Oversee the company's transaction processing systems.
  • Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Operates in a highly collaborative manner with all departments to ensure alignment with overall finance strategy and tactical execution.
  • Develop performance measures and a management reporting platform that supports the company's strategic direction.
Basic Qualifications
  • BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA and/or CPA highly desirable.
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience for a mid to large size high growth company or division of a large corporation as a senior VP of Finance or CFO/COO role in a high-regulated industry.
  • Strong working experience in practical finance - AP/AR, accounting, financial systems and policies, and FP&A, P&L.
  • History of developing and implementing accounting policies, procedures, controls, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience with M&A’s preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility
  • Supervises staff, including hiring, scheduling, and assigning work, reviewing performance, and recommends salary increases, promotions, transfers, demotions, or terminations.
  • Manages others through subordinate supervisors.
Working Environment

This job can operate remotely. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
