Responsibilities

• Visualize, fulfill, and implement the vision and core values within the Organization.
• Manage and administer department functions including operating budgets, staffing, wage reviews, work assignments, performance evaluations, etc.
• Assist corporate and project management to determine what types of projects to bid on, strategies, techniques, etc.
• Review all final estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness, prior to formal quotation.
• Participate in presentations to corporate management and Clients.
• May be responsible for closing the sale.
• Provide technical assistance in negotiating contracts, change orders, etc. as required.
• May assist in the preparation of studies, materials and methods, recommendations, and cost estimates as required.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements.

Qualifications

• Four years construction management degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
• Extensive (5 or more, years) experience in similar facility construction estimating and related functions plus thorough knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contracts required.
• Must possess excellent organizational, supervisory and decision making/problem solving skills.
• Advanced knowledge of construction industry.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to work towards and reach deadlines.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
