Commercial Lender
Responsibilities
-Apply appropriate underwriting criteria to prospective merchant applications in accordance with credit policy to ensure financial exposure is appropriately mitigated.
-Solicits business from potential and existing customers to include loans and deposits.
-Takes applications and prepares documentation for commercial loan business.
-Work with Sales and Account Management on quantitative and qualitative understanding of merchant’s acceptance costs and processing effectiveness.
-Reviews customer financial condition and assesses the customer’s ability to re-pay the loan.
-Completes, approves, and/or directs completion of all loan documents and closes loans.
-Provides and maintains a professional, business-like atmosphere within the banking division.
-Maintain a high level of accuracy in work performance in a high-speed environment while adhering to given tasks deadline.
-Analyze credit processing history, business financial statements, bank statements, and business model.
-Ensures tasks of the team are completed in a timely manner, delegates the team, and makes recommendations for new procedures.
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
-A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a financial institution with extensive consumer credit experience.
-Knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to analyst and lending practices.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators.
