Salary Range: $85,000 – $100,000 (based on experience)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately preparing cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects are competitively priced while maintaining high standards of quality and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and clients to determine project scope and requirements.

• Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.

• Develop and maintain unit cost databases and project estimate templates.

• Prepare and present detailed cost estimates and bid packages in a timely manner.

• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary.

• Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure alignment with budgets.

• Identify and evaluate cost-saving opportunities and value-engineering options.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

• 3+ years of experience in estimating within the construction industry (commercial, residential, or industrial).

• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing practices.

• Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, PlanSwift, or equivalent).

• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.

• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet tight deadlines.
