Responsibilities

• Perform/support a variety of estimating duties including quantity take-offs, labor, material, and equipment costs, database input, coordination of bid documents for distribution to subcontractors, research of product data and suppliers
• Coordinate with estimating team, subcontractors, designers, and owners
• Support Lead Estimator in preparation of a variety of estimates; including conceptual estimates, GMP estimates, and lump-sum estimates
• Research prior estimating data to support precedents for future estimates
• Review project plans, requirements, and specifications
• Support preparation of subcontractor bid list and distribution of drawings/RFP documents to subcontractors
• Coordinate subcontract solicitations, job walks, and timely receipt of subcontractor bids
• Assist Lead Estimator in comparison of competitive trade bids
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned and punctuality
• Travel approximately 5% of the time for new project job walks

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (preferably in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience
• General knowledge of design development, estimating, construction drawings, costs, and principles
• Ability to read and understand specifications and drawings
• Strong computer skills with the ability to use MS Office with proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as estimating software
• Ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations
• Highly analytical, versatile, extremely organized, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
