Responsible for all laboratory operations at a single location during his/her shift, including oversight of production, equipment, inventory, and personnel. Directs lab staff to meet production schedules and ensure proper product supply chain functionality.
Requirements:
- Ability to think strategically and to lead
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, G Suite, Cloud MJ, and others as needed
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills and ability to manage a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time
- Proven working experience as a supervisor
- Experience in production or manufacturing environment
- Excellent knowledge of production methods and techniques
- Ability to stand for long periods, bend, crouch and kneel
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willing and able to use vehicle for work
Responsibilities:
- Maintain production schedule by coordinating lab equipment, raw material, and other matter inventory in collaboration with Lab QA/QC Manager
- Track laboratory employee schedules/hours
- Oversee effectiveness of entire laboratory facility and troubleshoot issues or needs that may arise
- Report operations to CEO and follow up on action items
- Ability to forecast and communicate predictions and production output forecast
- Support all matters related to business development, direct to client sales and business to business deals.
- Process raw material following SOP guidelines
- Formulate product and fill orders; oversee product fulfillment based on sales team or client request
- Receive incoming shipments as needed
- Coordinate outgoing shipments as needed
- Seek detail on new industry solutions in order to innovate and suggest new formulations, process, and equipment upgrades to optimize efficiencies and scale
- Implement new laboratory and production standards as needed, and update SOP’s when necessary following ISO guidelines
- Work with Lab QA/QC manager to ensure standards are being met
- Ad hoc deliveries and order fulfillment on request
