Position: Construction Project Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Communication & Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for both internal teams and external contractors/trades. Coordinate daily tasks and ensure that all stakeholders are informed of updates, changes, and schedules.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Organize and maintain all necessary project documentation, including but not limited to: Request for Information (RFI), purchase orders, backorders, reports, budget tracking, and safety records. Ensure documentation is kept current, accurate, and compliant with applicable regulations and company standards.
  • Project Meetings: Lead and participate in regular project and performance meetings to review project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions. Ensure all team members are aligned on goals and timelines.
  • Quality Control & Safety: Regularly inspect the job site to ensure that safety protocols, quality standards, and productivity goals are being met. Address any non-compliance issues promptly to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Resource Management: Supervise and direct job site personnel, equipment, materials, and supplies. Ensure that all resources are utilized effectively and efficiently to meet project deadlines and goals.
  • Cost Management: Monitor project budgets and costs, and implement strategies to control expenses. Ensure that all purchases and work completed are within budget and that any variances are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Project Development & Improvement: Track the progress of the project and identify opportunities for improvement. Implement strategies that enhance project delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Employee Development: Assist in the development of training programs designed to motivate and enhance the skills of employees. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement among the team.
  • Customer Service: Ensure exceptional service for customers by providing them with timely, knowledgeable, and courteous responses to inquiries and concerns. Act as a direct point of contact for clients regarding project progress and deliverables.
  • Leadership & Behavior Modeling: Demonstrate strong leadership by setting the tone for teamwork, collaboration, and a high standard of professionalism. Model company values and ensure that the team follows the principles of respect, safety, and productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED required, with at least 4 years of relevant experience in construction management or related fields.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and lead a diverse team, including delegating tasks and motivating employees. Strong decision-making skills with the ability to adjust plans and strategies as needed.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform physical work as required, including moderate physical activity such as lifting, bending, and carrying up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in various outdoor environments and weather conditions.
  • Customer Service Skills: Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining a positive, approachable, and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Technical Skills: Strong math skills to perform calculations related to project measurements, budgeting, and materials. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure (whole numbers, fractions, decimals).
  • Blueprint & Code Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, spreadsheets, building codes, and other technical documents. Familiarity with construction regulations and industry standards.
  • Adaptability: Must be open to change and able to adjust to evolving project requirements, industry trends, and company policies.
  • Licensing: Valid Driver’s License required to manage transportation of tools and materials or to travel between job sites.
