Civil Project Manager
???? Salt Lake City | ???? $120,000 – $140,000
Some people manage projects. Others conduct civil landscapes like living architecture—moving earth, timelines, crews, and constraints into something that actually stands, drains, flows, and lasts. This role is for the second kind.
We’re looking for a Civil Project Manager who thrives where dirt meets design, where utility lines become lifelines, and where every grading plan is a quiet promise to the city’s future. If you can see a half-built site and already “feel” the final grade, you’ll fit right in.
What You’ll Command
You won’t just “oversee” projects. You’ll steer them like a field orchestra with boots instead of batons.
- Lead civil infrastructure projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Own budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and field execution with precision and confidence
- Coordinate excavation, grading, utilities, roadwork, drainage, and site development
- Translate engineering intent into real-world, on-the-ground execution
- Collaborate with engineers, inspectors, municipalities, and field teams to keep momentum unbroken
- Solve problems in real time before they become expensive stories
- Keep safety, quality, and compliance locked in at every phase
What You Bring to the Table
- 5+ years in civil construction or heavy civil project management
- Strong understanding of site development, utilities, grading, and infrastructure builds
- Ability to read plans like they’re second nature and spot conflicts before they surface
- Financial awareness that keeps projects profitable and predictable
- Leadership style that is calm under pressure but relentless on execution
- Comfort operating in fast-moving, dirt-under-the-fingernails environments
Why This Role Hits Different
This is not a checkbox PM role buried in spreadsheets. This is boots-on-site leadership where your decisions reshape ground, traffic flow, and community growth.
Every project you touch becomes part of Salt Lake City’s expanding infrastructure story—roads that move faster, systems that run cleaner, and sites that transform from raw land into functional, living space.
Compensation & Energy
- $120K – $140K base salary
- High-impact project ownership
- Real authority in field execution decisions
- A team that values precision, speed, and accountability over bureaucracy
If you’re looking for quiet, this isn’t it.
If you’re looking for influence you can actually measure in asphalt, pipe, and poured concrete—this is where it starts.
