The Opportunity

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, relationship-building, and disciplined credit judgment. As a Commercial Lender, you will serve as a trusted financial partner to middle-market businesses, entrepreneurs, and professional firms across the Kingwood and greater Houston market. You will originate, structure, and manage commercial loan relationships while helping clients navigate growth, transition, and opportunity with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial loan relationships, with a focus on C&I, owner-occupied real estate, and select investor real estate credits.

  • Originate new business through referrals, networking, and proactive calling, while deepening existing client relationships.

  • Structure loans that balance client needs with sound credit fundamentals, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

  • Prepare and present clear, well-reasoned credit packages, including financial analysis, cash flow evaluation, and risk assessment.

  • Partner closely with Credit, Underwriting, Treasury, and Operations to ensure smooth execution from proposal to closing.

  • Monitor portfolio performance, identify emerging risks, and proactively address credit quality concerns.

  • Serve as a visible representative of the bank in the local business community and professional organizations.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of commercial lending experience with demonstrated success in relationship management and loan production.

  • Strong working knowledge of commercial credit analysis, financial statements, and cash flow lending.

  • Proven ability to structure complex credits with sound judgment and attention to detail.

  • Confidence, credibility, and the ability to communicate clearly with business owners, executives, and internal stakeholders.
