A well-capitalized, growth-oriented financial institution in Addison, TX is seeking a seasoned Commercial Lender who brings both sharp financial acumen and a relationship-first mindset. This is not a “sit behind the desk” role—it’s for a dealmaker who understands that strong portfolios are built through insight, trust, and disciplined execution.
You’ll operate at the intersection of credit strategy and client partnership, originating and managing a diverse portfolio of commercial loans while contributing meaningfully to the bank’s long-term growth and risk posture.
What You’ll Do
Business Development & Relationship Management
- Originate, develop, and manage a robust portfolio of commercial clients across industries
- Cultivate new business through networking, referrals, and market intelligence
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business owners, executives, and stakeholders
- Structure tailored lending solutions that align with client needs and bank objectives
Credit Analysis & Structuring
- Analyze financial statements, cash flow, collateral, and industry trends
- Structure and negotiate loan terms, pricing, and covenants
- Partner closely with credit teams to ensure sound underwriting and risk mitigation
- Present well-supported loan packages to credit committees
Portfolio Management
- Actively monitor portfolio performance, identifying emerging risks and opportunities
- Conduct regular client reviews, site visits, and financial check-ins
- Maintain strong credit quality through proactive risk management
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal credit policies
Collaboration & Leadership
- Work cross-functionally with treasury management, credit, and executive leadership
- Mentor junior lenders or analysts as needed
- Contribute to strategic growth initiatives and market expansion efforts
What You Bring
- 7+ years of commercial lending experience with a strong book of business
- Proven ability to originate and close complex commercial loans
- Deep understanding of credit analysis, underwriting, and risk assessment
- Strong financial statement analysis skills (cash flow is your compass)
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field (MBA or formal credit training is a plus)
