What You'll Do

As our Commercial Lender, you'll serve as both a business development leader and financial consultant, managing an established portfolio while continuously expanding your network throughout the community.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and grow a diverse commercial loan portfolio through strategic business development efforts.
  • Build long-term relationships with business owners, commercial real estate investors, professional service firms, and middle-market companies.
  • Analyze commercial credit requests and structure customized lending solutions that meet client objectives while maintaining sound credit quality.
  • Negotiate loan terms, pricing, collateral requirements, and covenant structures.
  • Identify opportunities for treasury management, deposits, merchant services, and additional banking solutions.
  • Partner closely with Credit Administration, Treasury Management, Private Banking, and Executive Leadership to deliver exceptional client experiences.
  • Perform detailed financial statement analysis, cash flow evaluations, and risk assessments.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and proactively manage credit quality.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory guidelines, lending policies, and underwriting standards.
  • Represent the bank throughout the community by attending networking events, industry functions, and business organizations.
  • Become a trusted resource clients call long before they need financing.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a relationship-driven banking professional who enjoys balancing analytical thinking with business development. The ideal candidate understands that great lending is built on both sound financial judgment and authentic human connection.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of commercial lending and relationship management experience.
  • Proven success developing new commercial banking relationships and growing loan portfolios.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial credit underwriting and financial statement analysis.
  • Experience structuring commercial real estate, C&I, owner-occupied, and investment lending transactions.
  • Strong understanding of cash flow analysis, tax returns, collateral evaluation, and credit risk.
  • Ability to identify opportunities while balancing prudent credit decisions.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong business development instincts.
  • Established network within the Texas business community is highly desirable.
