Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Lender to join our team in Prescott, AZ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and managing commercial lending relationships, underwriting and analyzing credit risks, and ensuring the growth of the bank’s commercial portfolio. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of commercial lending products, market trends, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Originate, underwrite, and close commercial loan transactions in accordance with the bank’s policies and procedures.

  • Build and maintain relationships with business clients, providing exceptional service to meet their financial needs.

  • Evaluate and analyze financial statements, tax returns, credit reports, and other relevant documentation to assess the financial stability of borrowers.

  • Work with business clients to understand their goals, and recommend appropriate lending products and services.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.

  • Monitor loan performance, ensure timely repayment, and address any potential issues with clients proactively.

  • Collaborate with other departments, including risk management and legal, to ensure seamless processing of commercial loan transactions.

  • Stay current with industry trends, market conditions, and competitive products to enhance the bank's market position.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial lending or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of commercial loan underwriting and credit analysis.

  • Ability to assess risk and make sound lending decisions.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in using banking software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
