Phoenix, AZ | $140,000–$200,000
Build Relationships. Structure Opportunities. Grow the Market.
If you are an accomplished Commercial Lender who knows how to turn relationships into opportunities and opportunities into strong, profitable banking relationships, this is a chance to make a serious impact in the Phoenix market.
We are seeking a knowledgeable, driven, and relationship-focused Commercial Lender who can develop new business, manage and expand an established commercial portfolio, structure sophisticated lending solutions, and serve as a trusted financial partner to business owners, executives, developers, and commercial clients. This is a role for someone who understands that great lending is about more than putting together a loan. It is about understanding the business behind the balance sheet, recognizing where a client is headed, identifying opportunities before they become obvious, and delivering financing solutions that make sense for both the client and the institution.
You will have the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships throughout the Phoenix business community while helping clients navigate acquisitions, expansion, working capital needs, equipment purchases, commercial real estate opportunities, refinancing, and other strategic financing needs. Your ability to combine business development, credit expertise, financial analysis, and genuine relationship management will be essential to your success.
What You'll Do
- Develop, manage, and grow a profitable commercial loan portfolio while maintaining a strong commitment to asset quality and relationship profitability.
- Proactively identify, pursue, and cultivate new commercial lending opportunities throughout the Phoenix market.
- Build a consistent prospecting and calling strategy designed to generate new relationships, referrals, deposits, loan production, and fee income.
- Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to business owners, executives, investors, and commercial clients by understanding their businesses, industries, financial objectives, and long-term goals.
- Analyze financial statements, cash flow, credit history, collateral, industry trends, and overall borrower strength to determine appropriate credit structures and risk levels.
- Structure, negotiate, and present commercial loan transactions that meet client objectives while adhering to sound credit principles and lending policies.
- Prepare thorough and compelling credit presentations and make recommendations to senior lenders and loan committees.
- Manage the complete lending relationship from initial prospecting and underwriting through approval, closing, funding, and ongoing portfolio management.
- Monitor existing relationships closely, identifying emerging risks, changing business conditions, covenant concerns, and opportunities for additional financing.
- Maintain high credit standards while balancing prudent risk management with a strong commitment to responsive client service.
- Identify opportunities to deepen relationships through treasury management, deposits, cash management, merchant services, and other financial products.
- Partner closely with credit, underwriting, treasury, operations, and other internal teams to deliver a seamless client experience.
- Stay informed on Phoenix-area economic conditions, industry trends, competitive activity, and market opportunities that may affect clients and portfolio performance.
- Participate in community, industry, and professional organizations to expand visibility, strengthen referral networks, and develop new business opportunities.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with confidence while maintaining a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach.
- Maintain accurate pipeline, portfolio, and relationship information while ensuring all documentation and regulatory requirements are properly addressed.
- Recognize potential credit concerns early and take appropriate action to protect the quality and profitability of the portfolio.
- Represent the organization professionally in client meetings, community events, industry functions, and business-development activities.
