???? About the Role
As a Commercial Superintendent, you will lead field operations across sophisticated commercial projects, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost are consistently achieved. From preconstruction through closeout, you’ll be the field authority—aligning teams, solving problems, and keeping momentum strong.
You’ll also play a key role in mentoring field staff and cultivating a jobsite culture rooted in accountability, communication, and pride in craftsmanship.
???? Key Responsibilities
Safety Leadership
- Champion jobsite safety through proactive planning, site inspections, and pre-task reviews
- Ensure full compliance with EHS policies, OSHA standards, and company protocols
- Promote a zero-incident mindset across all trades and team members
Quality Execution
- Lead implementation of the Quality Management Program
- Ensure proper material handling, installation standards, and timely punch list completion
- Maintain a sharp eye for detail—because excellence lives in the details
Preconstruction & Planning
- Partner with preconstruction teams on logistics, phasing, and constructability reviews
- Coordinate trade partners and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and value
- Set the tone early—well-planned jobs are well-built jobs
Scheduling & Coordination
- Manage and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6
- Drive critical path activities, procurement tracking, and milestone delivery
- Keep stakeholders informed and aligned through clear communication
Project Execution
- Support contract administration, cost control efforts, submittals, and RFIs
- Coordinate commissioning, inspections, and final turnover activities
- Keep projects moving forward—no stalls, no surprises
Leadership & Relationship Building
- Mentor and develop field staff, helping them grow into future leaders
- Build strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and trade partners
- Navigate challenges with confidence, professionalism, and sound judgment
? Qualifications
- 10–15+ years of construction experience with superintendent-level responsibility
- Experience in commercial projects such as healthcare, industrial, high-tech, or life sciences
- Strong knowledge of building systems, IBC, and local codes/permitting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Primavera P6, and Bluebeam
- OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and Competent Person Training required
- Superintendent training or equivalent field leadership development
