Concrete Safety Manager
Salt Lake City, UT | DOE
Build the Standard. Protect the Crew. Lead the Charge.
Every great concrete project starts with a solid foundation, but every exceptional project is built on safety. We're searching for a Concrete Safety Manager who sees beyond hard hats and checklists and understands that a world-class safety culture is the backbone of every successful jobsite.
This is an opportunity for a safety professional who can walk a project with confidence, communicate with authority, and create an environment where crews return home safely every single day. You'll be the guardian of best practices, the champion of accountability, and the field leader who turns safety from a requirement into a competitive advantage.
If you enjoy boots-on-the-ground leadership, solving problems before they become incidents, and helping teams operate at their absolute best, this role has your name written in concrete.
What You'll Do
- Lead all jobsite safety initiatives across multiple concrete construction projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety evaluations.
- Develop and implement safety programs that exceed OSHA standards and industry best practices.
- Deliver engaging safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns while identifying root causes and corrective actions.
- Partner with Superintendents, Project Managers, and field crews to promote a proactive safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance and maintain project safety documentation.
- Identify hazards before they become problems and implement practical solutions.
- Track safety metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Bring
- Experience in construction safety with a strong emphasis on concrete operations.
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with field personnel and executive leadership alike.
- Experience conducting site audits, investigations, and safety training.
- Ability to influence crews through leadership rather than enforcement alone.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- OSHA 30 certification required.
- CHST, CSP, or related certifications are highly preferred.
- Ability to travel between project sites as needed.
The Ideal Candidate
You're part coach, part investigator, part educator, and part construction warrior. You can spot a tripping hazard from across a slab, navigate complex safety challenges with calm precision, and earn the respect of crews because you lead by example. You understand that safety isn't about slowing projects down; it's about building them smarter, stronger, and more successfully.
Why You'll Love It Here
- Competitive compensation package based on experience.
- Opportunity to influence major concrete construction projects throughout the region.
- Leadership team that values safety as a cornerstone of success.
- Career advancement opportunities within a growing organization.
- Collaborative culture where your expertise genuinely matters.
- Work that makes a visible impact on people, projects, and performance.
