Construction Manager
Salt Lake City, UT | $120K+
Build Big. Lead Well. Keep the Chaos Constructive.
We’re looking for a Construction Manager who knows that great projects don’t happen by accident. They happen because someone is paying attention to the details, keeping people moving in the same direction, solving problems before they become expensive problems, and occasionally answering the question, “Who moved that?” with remarkable patience.
This is a leadership role for a construction professional who can balance the big picture with the fine print. You’ll oversee projects from planning and preconstruction through completion, working closely with owners, subcontractors, vendors, project teams, field personnel, and leadership to make sure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, profitably, and with a level of quality everyone can be proud of.
If you’re organized without being rigid, confident without being difficult, and experienced enough to know that construction rarely goes exactly according to plan, this could be your next great opportunity.
What You’ll Do
-
Lead and oversee construction projects from initial planning through final completion and turnover.
-
Establish project objectives, schedules, budgets, milestones, and execution strategies.
-
Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Estimators, subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, owners, and other project stakeholders.
-
Monitor project progress and keep schedules moving in the right direction.
-
Review budgets, costs, commitments, forecasts, change orders, and overall project financial performance.
-
Identify potential issues early and develop practical solutions before they grow teeth.
-
Provide leadership and direction to project teams while creating an environment built around accountability, communication, and teamwork.
-
Ensure projects are constructed according to plans, specifications, contractual requirements, and quality expectations.
-
Review drawings, specifications, contracts, scopes of work, schedules, and project documentation.
-
Assist with project planning, procurement, subcontractor selection, and resource allocation.
-
Oversee subcontractor performance and help ensure commitments are being met.
-
Work with field leadership to address scheduling, manpower, material, quality, safety, and coordination challenges.
-
Participate in owner and project meetings and maintain strong professional relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
-
Review and manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and other project documentation.
-
Track project costs and provide leadership with accurate updates regarding financial performance.
-
Help develop recovery plans when projects experience delays, budget pressure, or unexpected challenges.
-
Maintain a strong focus on safety and ensure company standards and project requirements are being followed.
-
Assist with contract compliance and help protect the company’s interests throughout the project.
-
Communicate clearly with everyone from field crews to executive leadership.
-
Mentor and develop less-experienced members of the construction team.
-
Help establish consistent processes that make projects more organized, predictable, and profitable.
-
Conduct project reviews and contribute to lessons learned that can make the next project even better.
The Personality We’re Looking For
You don’t need to be the loudest person in the trailer. You need to be the person people trust when the project gets complicated.
The ideal Construction Manager is a problem solver, communicator, organizer, negotiator, planner, and leader all rolled into one. You understand that construction is both a business and a people-driven industry. You know how to hold teams accountable without creating unnecessary friction, and you can make decisions when there isn’t a perfect answer sitting neatly inside the project manual.
You’re comfortable walking a jobsite in the morning, reviewing financials in the afternoon, and sitting down with an owner or subcontractor before the day is over. You understand that successful construction management requires equal parts preparation, communication, persistence, and adaptability.
And when Plan A becomes Plan B, and Plan B mysteriously turns into Plan F, you’re still standing there with a plan.
What You Bring
-
Proven experience in construction management, project management, or a related construction leadership role.
-
Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, project delivery, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
-
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, plans, specifications, scopes, and project documentation.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Demonstrated ability to lead project teams and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
-
Strong financial and analytical abilities.
-
Experience managing subcontractors and vendor relationships.
-
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
-
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
-
Proficiency with construction technology and project management software.
-
A strong understanding of construction safety practices and regulatory requirements.
-
Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused when projects inevitably throw a curveball.
-
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred, but substantial hands-on construction experience will be highly valued.
Why This Opportunity?
This is an opportunity to step into a meaningful leadership position with the ability to influence projects, people, processes, and results. You’ll have a seat at the table, a voice in how projects are executed, and the opportunity to help build something that lasts long after the final hard hat leaves the site.
If you’re ready for a role where your experience actually matters, your leadership is respected, and every day brings a new puzzle to solve, we’d like to talk.
Salary: $120,000+ DOE

Bring your construction knowledge. Bring your leadership. Bring your ability to keep the wheels turning when the jobsite gets interesting.
