We are seeking an experienced Credit Administrator to provide executive leadership over the bank's credit administration function. What You'll Do
As the Credit Administrator, you will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership while overseeing every aspect of the credit administration process. Responsibilities include:
- Lead the overall credit administration strategy and ensure alignment with the bank's lending philosophy.
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve underwriting policies, procedures, and credit risk standards.
- Provide leadership and oversight of commercial, industrial, commercial real estate, SBA, and specialty lending credit functions.
- Review, approve, and recommend credit requests within lending authority while providing guidance on complex transactions.
- Partner with Commercial Relationship Managers and lending teams to structure sound, profitable credit opportunities.
- Monitor the overall health of the loan portfolio and proactively identify emerging credit trends.
- Direct portfolio stress testing, concentration management, and ongoing credit quality analysis.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and sound banking practices.
- Lead loan review initiatives and coordinate responses to regulatory examinations and external audits.
- Oversee problem loan identification, workout strategies, and portfolio remediation efforts.
- Develop credit risk reporting for executive management and the Board of Directors.
- Drive continuous improvements in credit processes, technology, and operational efficiency.
- Mentor, coach, and develop a team of credit professionals while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Work closely with senior leadership to support strategic growth initiatives while maintaining disciplined credit quality.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive commercial banking and credit administration experience.
- Significant leadership experience managing credit teams within a financial institution.
- Deep knowledge of commercial credit analysis, underwriting, portfolio management, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong understanding of commercial lending, CRE, C&I, SBA, and complex credit structures.
- Experience working with executive leadership and presenting to senior committees or Boards.
- Exceptional analytical, financial statement, and risk assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Proven ability to make sound, timely credit decisions while balancing growth and risk.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and strategic thinking.
