The Deposit Relationship Manager (RM) is responsible for developing, managing, and growing deposit relationships with clients. This role focuses on acquiring new customers, deepening existing relationships, and ensuring excellent customer service while meeting deposit growth targets. The RM will work closely with internal teams to provide customized banking solutions to individuals and businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Relationship Management:

    • Identify and acquire new deposit clients, including individuals, businesses, and institutions.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to increase deposit balances.
    • Conduct regular client meetings to understand financial needs and recommend suitable deposit products.
  • Sales & Revenue Growth:

    • Promote and cross-sell deposit products such as savings accounts, checking accounts, money market accounts, and certificates of deposit (CDs).
    • Achieve assigned deposit growth and revenue targets through strategic sales initiatives.
    • Partner with wealth management, treasury, and lending teams to maximize client engagement.
  • Customer Service & Retention:

    • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through personalized service and proactive communication.
    • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and service requests efficiently.
    • Monitor client accounts to identify opportunities for relationship expansion.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis:

    • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive deposit rates, and market conditions.
    • Provide insights and recommendations on deposit pricing strategies and promotional campaigns.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:

    • Adhere to banking regulations, internal policies, and compliance standards.
    • Ensure proper documentation and due diligence in all account openings and transactions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in banking, preferably in deposit sales, relationship management, or treasury.
  • Strong knowledge of deposit products, banking regulations, and financial services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.
  • Results-driven mindset with the ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Proficiency in banking software and CRM tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with high-net-worth individuals or corporate clients.
  • Knowledge of cash management and treasury solutions.
