Build More Than Bids. Build the Blueprint for Success.

Every great construction project begins long before the first shovel breaks ground. It starts with a vision, a strategy, and an estimate that transforms possibility into reality. We're searching for an experienced Estimating Manager who thrives on precision, leadership, and the excitement of bringing complex projects to life.

If you're energized by solving challenges, mentoring talented estimators, and shaping the financial success of multimillion-dollar projects, this is your opportunity to lead from the front while making a lasting impact across the organization.

What You'll Do

As the Estimating Manager, you'll oversee the estimating department and guide projects from concept through bid submission. You'll partner with executives, project managers, field leaders, and clients to ensure every proposal is competitive, accurate, and strategically positioned for success.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing estimating team.
  • Direct preconstruction and estimating efforts for commercial, industrial, civil, or concrete construction projects.
  • Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to identify project requirements and potential risks.
  • Prepare and oversee detailed quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, labor projections, and pricing strategies.
  • Coordinate subcontractor and supplier bid solicitation, analysis, and negotiations.
  • Develop value engineering opportunities that maximize client value while protecting profitability.
  • Review final estimates for completeness, accuracy, and competitiveness before submission.
  • Collaborate closely with operations teams to ensure seamless project handoffs after award.
  • Analyze historical cost data, production rates, and market trends to improve estimating accuracy.
  • Establish and maintain estimating standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Participate in client meetings, proposal presentations, and preconstruction planning.
  • Manage multiple bids simultaneously while meeting aggressive deadlines.
  • Continuously improve estimating systems, technology, and departmental performance.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of construction estimating experience with progressive leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience managing commercial, concrete, heavy civil, site development, or industrial construction estimates.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and project execution.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team development skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.
  • High level of organization with outstanding attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • A collaborative mindset with the confidence to make strategic decisions.

Preferred Experience

Experience with one or more of the following:

  • On-Screen Takeoff (OST)
  • Sage Estimating
  • Procore
  • Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bid management software and digital takeoff platforms

Why You'll Love This Opportunity

This is more than an estimating position. It's a chance to lead one of the most influential teams in the company. You'll help shape major construction projects before they ever break ground, influence company growth, and build a culture of excellence where innovation, collaboration, and professional development are celebrated.

If you're ready to lead with confidence, inspire a talented team, and play a critical role in delivering exceptional construction projects across the region, we'd love to hear from you.
