Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Compensation: $110,000–$135,000

Position Summary
The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, timely, and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects. This role supports preconstruction and operations by analyzing drawings, specifications, and market conditions to develop complete, well-reasoned budgets and bids that drive successful project awards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed conceptual, schematic, design development, and GMP estimates.

• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor scopes.

• Solicit, analyze, and level subcontractor and supplier proposals.

• Identify risks, value-engineering opportunities, and cost savings.

• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, architects, and owners during preconstruction.

• Maintain historical cost data and current market pricing.

• Support bid presentations and contract negotiations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction.

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost controls.

• Proficiency with estimating software and plan takeoff tools.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple estimates with accuracy and attention to detail.
