We’re looking for an Estimator who knows construction, understands the numbers, and actually enjoys figuring out how all the pieces fit together. This is not a “copy the last estimate and hope for the best” kind of position. We need someone who can dig into plans, spot the details others miss, build accurate estimates, and help turn opportunities into profitable projects.

If you can look at a set of drawings and immediately start seeing quantities, labor, materials, scope, risks, and dollar signs, we should talk.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Prepare detailed estimates, bids, budgets, and cost projections for construction projects
• Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and contract documents with a sharp eye for detail
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop accurate material and labor pricing
• Solicit, review, and compare subcontractor and vendor proposals
• Analyze project requirements and identify gaps, exclusions, discrepancies, and potential cost risks
• Work closely with project management, operations, vendors, subcontractors, and leadership
• Develop competitive bids while keeping profitability firmly in view
• Maintain organized estimating documentation and pricing information
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site walks, scope reviews, and project turnover meetings
• Research materials, labor requirements, subcontractor pricing, and market conditions
• Help identify opportunities to improve estimating processes, accuracy, and efficiency
• Keep up with changing costs, construction methods, materials, and industry trends
• Communicate clearly when something doesn't add up, because catching a problem before bid day is considerably more fun than explaining it afterward

WHAT MAKES YOU A FIT?

We’re looking for an estimator who is analytical, organized, construction-savvy, and just a little bit obsessed with getting the numbers right.

You should bring:

• Proven experience in construction estimating
• Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, scopes, and contract documents
• Experience with quantity takeoffs, pricing, and bid preparation
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple estimates, deadlines, and priorities
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Confidence working with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office
• The ability to work independently while still being a strong team player
