What You’ll Do

• Prepare detailed conceptual, schematic, and hard-bid estimates across multiple project types

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and subcontractor proposals with a sharp and skeptical eye

• Lead pricing strategy discussions and contribute to go/no-go decisions

• Build and maintain strong relationships with trade partners, owners, and internal project teams

• Identify risks, opportunities, and value-engineering options before they become field problems

• Support preconstruction meetings and handoff processes to ensure clean project launches

• Continuously refine estimating systems, historical cost data, and best practices

What You Bring

• 5+ years of estimating experience in commercial or large-scale construction

• Strong understanding of means, methods, and real-world construction costs

• Confidence communicating with project managers, superintendents, and executives

• Proficiency with estimating software and Excel, plus a comfort level with ambiguity

• A mindset that balances precision with big-picture thinking

• Integrity, curiosity, and the ability to defend your numbers without defending your ego
