Where Numbers Meet Vision—and Turn Into Skylines
If spreadsheets make your pulse quicken and blueprints feel like treasure maps, this role is your arena. We’re looking for an Estimator who doesn’t just crunch numbers, but orchestrates them—someone who can translate concept into cost, risk into strategy, and ambiguity into clarity.
Here, estimating isn’t a back-office function. It’s the launchpad. The difference between a good project and a great one often begins with the precision, creativity, and foresight you bring to the table.
What You’ll Be Building (Before Anything Is Built)
- Craft detailed, accurate cost estimates across multiple project types, from conceptual whispers to fully developed plans
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents with a sharp, investigative eye
- Perform quantity takeoffs that are as precise as a laser-cut beam
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to build competitive, reliable pricing
- Lead bid day efforts with composure and clarity, assembling the puzzle pieces into a winning number
- Collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, and preconstruction teams to align scope, schedule, and cost
- Identify value engineering opportunities without sacrificing quality or intent
- Track historical cost data and market trends to keep estimates grounded in reality and ahead of the curve
What You Bring to the Table
- 3+ years of estimating experience in construction (commercial, multifamily, or civil preferred)
- Mastery of takeoff and estimating software (think Bluebeam, OST, or similar tools of the trade)
- A brain wired for both detail and big-picture thinking
- Strong communication skills—you can explain complex numbers without putting people to sleep
- A natural sense of urgency balanced with thoughtful precision
- The ability to thrive under deadlines without cutting corners
Why This Role Hits Different
- You’re not just pricing jobs—you’re shaping them before they exist
- Work with a team that values sharp thinking, bold ideas, and calculated risks
- Exposure to a diverse pipeline of projects that keeps your work fresh and challenging
- Competitive compensation that reflects your impact and expertise
The Payoff
You’ll leave your mark on projects before the first shovel hits the ground. Your fingerprints will be on budgets, strategies, and decisions that ripple through every phase of construction.
If you like the idea of being the quiet architect behind every successful build—the one who makes the numbers behave and the projects possible—this is your seat at the table.
