Estimator
Turning concepts into clarity—and costs into confidence.
The Opportunity
This Estimator role sits at the heart of preconstruction, where vision meets reality and strategy is forged before the first shovel breaks ground. You’ll partner with estimating leadership and project teams to develop accurate, competitive, and well-coordinated estimates across a variety of construction projects.
This is a role for someone who can see beyond incomplete drawings, connect the dots, and build a financial roadmap that sets projects up for success from day one.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare conceptual, design-development, and final estimates for a range of project delivery methods
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and models to perform detailed quantity takeoffs and scope development
- Coordinate with Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Trade Partners to ensure alignment on scope and pricing
- Solicit, review, and level subcontractor bids for complete and competitive coverage
- Identify cost-saving and value engineering opportunities while maintaining project integrity
- Manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Support preconstruction efforts including budgeting, scheduling input, and constructability reviews
- Maintain and enhance cost databases and estimating systems for continuous improvement
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–10+ years of estimating experience within the construction industry
- Proficiency in:
- MS Office Suite
- Sage Estimating
- On-Screen Takeoff (OST)
- Bluebeam (or similar tools)
- Experience with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM tools is a plus
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and 3D models for accurate takeoffs and scope definition
- Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and methodologies
- Proven ability to build estimates from conceptual or evolving design information
Who You Are
- Precision-focused with a sharp analytical mindset
- Highly organized and able to juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball
- A strong communicator who can translate complex details into clear insights
- Professional and confident when working with clients and project stakeholders
- Relationship-driven, building trust across teams and partners
- Adaptable and solutions-oriented in the face of changing project conditions
Why This Role Stands Out
This position is more than number-crunching—it’s early-stage leadership. You’ll help shape project direction, influence key decisions, and create the financial foundation that everything else is built on.
Every estimate you produce is a quiet blueprint for success—setting the tone, the pace, and the possibilities for what comes next.
If you’re ready to turn ambiguity into accuracy and play a critical role in building what’s next, this opportunity is calling.
