Fueler in Construction
Location: Salt Lake City (SLC, UT)
Compensation: $30 to $40 per hour

Position Overview
The Fueler supports multiple active construction sites by fueling, servicing, and inspecting heavy equipment and vehicles. This role is hands on, mobile, and essential to daily production. You will work closely with Superintendents, Equipment Managers, and field crews to ensure uptime stays high and risks stay low.
Key Responsibilities

Fuel heavy equipment, generators, and fleet vehicles daily across multiple jobsites

Perform routine equipment checks including fluid levels, tire pressure, and visible wear

Maintain accurate fuel logs, usage reports, and inspection documentation

Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety protocols without exception

Monitor for leaks, hazards, or mechanical concerns and report immediately

Transport fuel safely in accordance with DOT and environmental regulations

Keep fueling vehicles clean, organized, and inspection ready

Support general yard and equipment organization as needed
Safety Focus
Safety is the heartbeat of this role. You will:

Conduct pre and post trip inspections daily

Use proper PPE at all times

Follow spill prevention and containment procedures

Participate in safety meetings and site orientations

Maintain clear communication with field leadership regarding hazards
Qualifications
-
2+ years of fueling or heavy equipment support experience preferred
-
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
-
CDL and Hazmat endorsement preferred or ability to obtain
-
Knowledge of construction equipment and jobsite safety standards

Ability to work early mornings, extended hours, and changing site locations

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
