Are you a seasoned credit professional who thrives on precision, integrity, and sound judgment? We’re seeking a First Vice President, Senior Underwriter to join our San Diego team. This is a role for someone who combines deep technical expertise with a reputation for honesty, fairness, and skillful decision-making—a trusted partner to clients and colleagues alike.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the underwriting of complex commercial loans with a focus on accuracy, risk management, and transparency.

• Evaluate borrower financials, collateral, market conditions, and credit structures with a sharp, knowledgeable eye.

• Partner with Relationship Managers and Credit Committees to structure deals that are both prudent and profitable.

• Ensure all credit decisions adhere to policy, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior underwriters, raising the standard of excellence across the team.

• Contribute to continuous improvement in underwriting processes, modeling, and risk assessment.
