Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Junior Commercial Lender to join our team in Fresno, CA. In this entry-level role, you will assist in originating, underwriting, and managing commercial loans. You will collaborate with senior lenders to offer financing solutions to businesses in the Fresno area, with a focus on customer service, credit analysis, and loan documentation.
Key Responsibilities:

Loan Origination Support:
- Assist senior lenders in originating commercial loans by gathering financial information, reviewing loan applications, and assessing clients' creditworthiness.
- Communicate with local business owners in Fresno and surrounding areas to collect necessary documents and data for loan applications.

Underwriting and Credit Analysis:
- Help evaluate the financial stability and creditworthiness of potential clients by analyzing financial statements and business plans.
- Assist with preparing credit proposals and ensuring they meet regulatory and internal lending standards.

Client Relationship Management:
- Foster strong relationships with new and existing commercial clients in the Fresno area, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
- Address customer inquiries and provide updates on loan progress and documentation.

Loan Documentation and Compliance:
- Ensure that loan documents are complete, accurate, and compliant with state and federal regulations, as well as bank policies.
- Assist in monitoring loan performance and ensuring clients adhere to loan terms.

Market Research and Reporting:
- Conduct market research to understand local industry trends and potential business opportunities in Fresno and Central California.
- Help prepare reports on loan portfolio performance and local market conditions for senior management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work with credit, risk, legal, and operations departments to ensure smooth loan processing and approval.
Qualifications:

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

Experience:
- Prior experience in banking or finance, especially in commercial lending, is a plus (internships or prior positions are beneficial).
- Familiarity with financial statements, credit analysis, and the regulatory environment is a plus.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients and team members.
