Key Responsibilities

  • Site Feasibility & Due Diligence: Evaluate potential land acquisitions with respect to topography, environmental conditions, access, utility infrastructure, zoning, and regulatory constraints.

  • Entitlements & Permitting: Coordinate with municipalities, agencies, consultants, and legal teams to secure zoning approvals, plats, and permits.

  • Design Oversight: Manage civil engineering consultants in the preparation of site plans, grading, drainage, and utility designs.

  • Construction Management: Oversee onsite development activities including earthwork, utilities, roadways, and stormwater infrastructure. Ensure alignment with project specifications and municipal standards.

  • Budget & Schedule Control: Prepare and manage detailed project budgets, schedules, and cash flows. Monitor expenditures and progress, proactively addressing risks and delays.

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the point of contact between internal teams, contractors, consultants, utility companies, and local jurisdictions.

  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure projects comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as corporate design and construction standards.

  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in land development project management.

  • Deep knowledge of site design, grading, drainage, utility infrastructure, and entitlement processes.

  • Strong working relationships with local municipalities, utility providers, and consultants in the Salt Lake City region.

  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore) and civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam) preferred.

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills.
