What You’ll Do

You’ll orchestrate the earliest and most critical phase of construction delivery, shaping projects that are smart, efficient, and ready for the field to execute without friction.

• Lead preconstruction efforts from concept through final GMP or bid submission
• Develop detailed conceptual, schematic, and design development estimates
• Perform quantity takeoffs and validate scope alignment across trades
• Collaborate closely with owners, architects, engineers, and field leadership
• Identify cost drivers, value engineering opportunities, and risk factors early
• Guide subcontractor outreach, leveling, and bid analysis with precision
• Build and maintain accurate historical cost databases and benchmarking tools
• Support project scheduling input and logistics planning during early phases
• Ensure seamless handoff from preconstruction to operations teams

What You Bring

You’re part strategist, part builder, part detective. You know how to read between the lines of a drawing set and spot what others miss.

• 5+ years in preconstruction, estimating, or construction management
• Strong background in commercial, multifamily, or industrial projects
• Deep understanding of means, methods, materials, and market pricing
• Proficiency with estimating software and digital takeoff tools
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical teams
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines without losing precision
• A calm, analytical mindset when projects are still forming and shifting
