Salary: 60,000 USD - 80,000 USD
Sector: Construction
Type: Permanent

Build Things. Solve Problems. Keep the Project Moving.

If you’re the kind of person who sees a construction plan and immediately starts looking for how all the pieces fit together, we should talk.

We’re looking for a Project Engineer who is organized, curious, sharp with details, and ready to get their hands dirty in the world of construction. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn from experienced construction professionals while taking on real responsibility and becoming a critical part of the project team.

You’ll help keep projects organized from the paperwork to the field, working alongside Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and clients. In other words, you’ll be somewhere near the center of the action, where schedules change, questions pop up, and good communication can save the day.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support Project Managers with the day-to-day management of construction projects

  • Assist with submittals, RFIs, change orders, purchase orders, and project documentation

  • Review plans, specifications, contracts, and other project documents

  • Help track project schedules, budgets, materials, and deliverables

  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and internal teams

  • Attend project meetings and help document action items and follow-ups

  • Assist with estimating, procurement, and project closeout activities

  • Communicate project updates and help keep everyone working from the same playbook

  • Visit jobsites as needed to understand progress, coordinate details, and see how plans become actual buildings

  • Identify potential issues before they become expensive headaches

  • Maintain accurate project records and keep documentation organized

  • Learn the business from experienced professionals who know construction inside and out

What Makes You a Great Fit?

You don't need to know everything on Day One. You do need to be willing to learn.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Organized enough to keep multiple moving pieces from becoming a circus

  • Detail-oriented without losing sight of the big picture

  • Comfortable communicating with people at different levels of an organization

  • Confident asking questions and willing to chase down answers

  • Able to read and understand construction drawings and project documents

  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and construction-related software

  • Good with deadlines, follow-up, and keeping commitments

  • Analytical, resourceful, and naturally curious

  • Able to prioritize when everything suddenly becomes “urgent”

  • Interested in building a long-term career in construction

A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, along with construction experience, internships, or related project experience.

Why This Role Matters

A great Project Engineer isn't just pushing paperwork around. You're helping connect the office to the field, the schedule to the budget, and the plans to what actually happens onsite.

You’ll gain exposure to estimating, scheduling, contracts, procurement, project coordination, field operations, and client communication. For someone who wants to grow into a Project Manager, this can be the launchpad.

And if you already have some construction experience under your belt, even better. Bring your knowledge, your questions, and your willingness to jump into the action.

The Bottom Line

Salt Lake City, UT
$60,000–$80,000

If you’re ready to stop watching construction from the sidelines and start becoming part of the team that makes it happen, this could be your next move.

Bring the organization. Bring the curiosity. Bring the willingness to learn.

We’ll bring the projects.
