Responsibilities:
- Safety Compliance: Fully understand and adhere to company safety policies, promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization.
- Document Management: Organize, distribute, and maintain contract documents using established company standards and software, ensuring all project records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Project Planning and Scheduling: Assist in developing project schedules using company-approved tools and methodologies, ensuring timelines are realistic and achievable.
- Submittal Coordination: Manage the organization, distribution, and review of submittals to maintain quality control, ensuring all specifications and requirements are met.
- Meeting Support: Attend on-site and off-site meetings, document key discussions, and follow up on action items to ensure seamless communication between stakeholders.
- Estimating Standards: Familiarize yourself with company estimating standards and software; collaborate effectively with estimators and project managers (PMs) to ensure accurate project estimations.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a liaison between owners, architects, and engineers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration under the direction of the project manager.
- Contract Administration: Oversee the preparation, execution, and tracking of contracts and purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
- Change Management: Manage change order documentation, ensuring accurate tracking, review, and approval processes.
- Cost Control: Assist in internal cost control processes, including cost accounting management, generating accounting reports, and monitoring budgets to ensure financial objectives are met.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in construction or engineering industries.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in project management tools, engineering software, and industry-standard methodologies, with the ability to adapt to new systems quickly.
- Goal Orientation: Capable of setting clear, actionable short-term goals to support broader strategic objectives.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrates innovative and effective problem-solving abilities to overcome challenges and ensure project success.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project scheduling software.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and relationship-building abilities; highly resourceful in managing complex tasks and collaborating with diverse teams.
- Effective Communication: Communicates clearly and consistently, listens actively, and maintains open, candid dialogue with team members and stakeholders.
