What You'll Do
As a Project Engineer, you'll play an essential role in keeping projects moving smoothly from groundbreaking to ribbon cutting. You'll work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, architects, and owners to ensure every detail is executed with precision.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination and execution.
- Prepare, distribute, and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and consultants to maintain project schedules.
- Monitor project budgets and assist with cost tracking.
- Review construction drawings and specifications for completeness and accuracy.
- Participate in project meetings and maintain detailed meeting minutes.
- Help develop and maintain project schedules and milestone tracking.
- Perform regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality standards are met.
- Support procurement efforts by coordinating material deliveries and equipment needs.
- Ensure project documentation remains organized and up to date.
- Assist in resolving field issues while maintaining strong communication between office and field teams.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and accountability on every project.
What We're Looking For
We're searching for someone who is driven, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-4+ years of commercial construction experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar construction software is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to jump in wherever needed.
