Compensation: $60,000 – $80,000 (DOE)
Build More Than Projects—Build Momentum
Are you ready to step into the fast-paced, boots-on-the-ground world of concrete construction where every day brings new challenges, real impact, and visible results? We’re looking for a driven, detail-oriented Project Engineer / Project Assistant to join our growing concrete team in Salt Lake City. This is not a back-office role—it’s your launchpad into the heart of construction operations, where coordination meets execution and plans turn into skyline.
If you thrive in organized chaos, enjoy connecting moving pieces, and want to grow into a future Project Manager or Superintendent, this role is your proving ground.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll serve as the connective tissue between the field, office, and trade partners—keeping projects flowing smoothly and efficiently.
- Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with daily operations on concrete construction projects
- Coordinate submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation with precision
- Track project schedules, budgets, and progress—ensuring nothing slips through the cracks
- Support procurement of materials and subcontractor coordination
- Review plans and specifications to help identify potential issues before they become costly problems
- Maintain organized project files and documentation systems
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and field teams to keep everyone aligned and informed
- Participate in site visits and meetings, gaining hands-on exposure to field operations
What You Bring to the Table
- 1–3 years of experience in construction, engineering support, or project coordination (concrete experience is a plus)
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail—nothing gets past you
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools is a bonus
- Clear communication skills and a team-first mindset
- Hunger to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility
Why This Role Stands Out
This isn’t just a support role—it’s a career accelerator. You’ll gain direct exposure to complex concrete projects, mentorship from experienced leaders, and the opportunity to carve your own path in a company that values initiative and grit.
- Competitive salary with growth potential
- Hands-on training and mentorship
- Clear pathway to Project Engineer, Project Manager, or field leadership roles
- Dynamic, team-driven culture where your contributions actually matter
- The satisfaction of seeing your work take shape in real time—foundations, structures, and everything in between
Who Thrives Here
Someone who doesn’t just want a job—but wants to build a career. Someone who sees a set of plans and thinks, “Let’s make this real.” Someone who’s just as comfortable in a job trailer as they are behind a screen.
If you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and step into a role where learning is constant, impact is immediate, and growth is inevitable—this is your moment.
