If you know your way around Wastewater Treatment Plant construction, can keep a project moving when the schedule gets spicy, and actually enjoy turning plans, people, budgets, and deadlines into a finished project, we should talk.

We’re looking for a Project Manager who can take ownership from preconstruction through closeout and keep the entire operation moving in the right direction. This is not a “watch the paperwork pile up” position. You’ll be involved in the real work: contracts, budgets, schedules, subcontractors, vendors, owners, engineers, field teams, and all the little details that can make or break a project.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Manage WWTP and heavy civil construction projects from kickoff through successful completion.
• Own project budgets, schedules, contracts, procurement, documentation, and overall financial performance.
• Coordinate closely with Superintendents, Project Engineers, subcontractors, vendors, owners, consultants, and internal leadership.
• Review plans, specifications, scopes, schedules, and contracts to identify potential issues before they become expensive surprises.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, purchase orders, and project correspondence.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules while keeping teams accountable to critical milestones.
• Track costs, commitments, forecasts, and project profitability.
• Participate in estimating, buyout, subcontractor selection, and project planning.
• Maintain strong communication with clients and project stakeholders throughout the life of the project.
• Identify risks, solve problems, and make decisions that keep projects moving.
• Work closely with field leadership to ensure construction is progressing safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications.
• Conduct project meetings and provide clear updates on progress, costs, schedule, and challenges.
• Help negotiate and manage subcontractor and vendor relationships.
• Drive projects toward quality completion while keeping an eye on the schedule and the bottom line.
• Navigate the inevitable construction curveballs with a calm head and a practical approach.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Proven Project Management experience within WWTP, wastewater, water treatment, heavy civil, or related infrastructure construction.
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, sequencing, scheduling, and project controls.
• Experience managing project budgets and financial performance.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans, specifications, contracts, and schedules.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Comfortable working with owners, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Organized enough to keep a dozen moving pieces from turning into a dozen moving problems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to make decisions.
• Proficiency with construction management and scheduling software.
• A genuine understanding that successful projects require both numbers and people to be managed well.

THE RIGHT PERSON

You’re organized without being rigid. You can talk shop with a Superintendent in the morning, review a budget at lunch, sit down with an owner in the afternoon, and somehow still remember which subcontractor owes you a submittal.

You know that a successful project is more than concrete, pipe, equipment, and paperwork. It’s communication, accountability, planning, relationships, and knowing when to push, when to negotiate, and when to grab the team and solve the problem together.
