Type: Permanent

Location: Spokane, WA
Compensation: $120,000–$150,000 base + incentives

The Short Version
You speak fluent small business. You see a tax return and don’t flinch. You understand that SBA lending is equal parts structure, strategy, and storytelling. If you enjoy helping entrepreneurs turn ambition into funded reality and can navigate SOPs without breaking a sweat, this role may feel oddly satisfying.

The Big Picture
As an SBA Lender, you are both guide and gatekeeper. You build meaningful relationships with business owners, CPAs, attorneys, and referral partners across the Inland Northwest while structuring SBA 7(a) and 504 loans that actually work in the real world. You balance growth with discipline, creativity with compliance, and optimism with risk management. It’s thoughtful lending, not fast food finance.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Originate, structure, and close SBA loans from initial handshake to final funding

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of small and mid-sized business clients

  • Analyze financial statements, cash flow, global debt, and business plans with a curious but cautious eye

  • Navigate SBA eligibility, SOP requirements, and internal credit policy like a seasoned trail guide

  • Partner with credit, underwriting, and closing teams to keep deals moving and stress levels low

  • Build a referral network that knows your name and trusts your judgment

  • Monitor portfolio performance and proactively manage risk long after the ink dries

What Makes You a Fit

  • 3+ years of SBA lending or commercial lending experience with strong SBA exposure

  • Working knowledge of SBA 7(a) and 504 programs and the patience to explain them well

  • Proven ability to source business, structure deals, and close loans independently

  • Strong financial analysis skills with a practical, common-sense approach

  • Confident communicator who can translate numbers into plain English

  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable owning your pipeline from start to finish

Why Spokane, Why This Role
You’ll be lending in a market full of builders, growers, and risk-takers who value relationships over flash. This is a chance to make a visible impact in the community while building a portfolio you’re proud to put your name on. The role offers autonomy, support, and the freedom to do SBA lending the right way.

If you believe good lending fuels good businesses and enjoy a role where no two deals look alike, this might be your kind of workday.
