What You’ll Own:

• Lead comprehensive, competitive, and accurate estimates for dry utilities projects including water, sewer, storm drain, and other underground infrastructure.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather critical data and refine bid packages.

• Analyze project drawings, specs, and scopes with laser focus to identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.

• Develop detailed quantity take-offs, cost analyses, and pricing models that ensure profitable and competitive bids.

• Mentor junior estimators and guide them through the nuances of dry utilities bidding.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on market trends, material costs, and local regulatory requirements affecting utilities construction.

• Present estimates confidently to executives and clients, backing your numbers with strategic insight.

What You Bring to the Table:

• 7+ years of proven estimating experience in dry utilities, preferably within Arizona or the Southwest region.

• Deep understanding of underground infrastructure, construction processes, and scheduling impacts.

• Exceptional skills in reading blueprints, specs, and engineering documents.

• Strong negotiation skills with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best pricing and terms.

• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., HeavyBid, Bluebeam, MS Excel) and project management tools.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and complex projects.

• Excellent communication skills to work seamlessly across departments and with external partners.
