Superintendent
Location: Tampa, FL
Salary: $90,000–$115,000
Build It Right. Lead It Well. Own the Jobsite.
We’re looking for a Superintendent who knows that great construction does not happen by accident. It takes planning, communication, accountability, a sharp eye for detail, and someone who can keep a busy jobsite moving when the schedule starts getting spicy.
This is an opportunity for an experienced construction professional who enjoys being where the action is. You’ll take ownership of day-to-day field operations, coordinate trades and subcontractors, maintain schedules, uphold quality and safety standards, and make sure the finished product is something everyone can be proud to put their name on.
If you’re the person who walks onto a jobsite and immediately starts figuring out what needs to happen next, we should talk.
What You’ll Do
-
Lead and manage daily field operations from mobilization through project completion.
-
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, inspectors, and field personnel.
-
Develop, maintain, and communicate project schedules to keep work progressing.
-
Review plans, specifications, drawings, and project documents for accuracy and constructability.
-
Conduct regular jobsite meetings and communicate priorities, expectations, and upcoming activities.
-
Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and productivity.
-
Coordinate sequencing of trades to keep the project moving efficiently.
-
Identify potential schedule issues before they become full-blown problems.
-
Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and productive jobsite.
-
Enforce company safety policies and project-specific safety requirements.
-
Perform quality-control inspections throughout the construction process.
-
Identify deficiencies and ensure corrective work is completed properly and promptly.
-
Work closely with Project Managers and other leadership to address project challenges.
-
Track progress and communicate updates, delays, changes, and field conditions.
-
Coordinate inspections and assist with permitting requirements as needed.
-
Review subcontractor work for compliance with plans, specifications, and contractual requirements.
-
Help manage punch-list activities and project closeout.
-
Maintain accurate daily reports, documentation, photographs, and field records.
-
Build strong working relationships with subcontractors and trade partners.
-
Represent the company professionally with owners, clients, inspectors, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders.
-
Keep the team informed, focused, and moving in the same direction.
What Makes You a Great Fit
We’re looking for someone who brings experience, confidence, organization, and leadership to the jobsite. You don’t need to know everything on day one, but you do need to know how to lead, communicate, troubleshoot, and keep your word.
The ideal candidate will have:
-
Several years of construction field experience, preferably in a Superintendent or similar leadership role.
-
Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, scheduling, and field coordination.
-
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
-
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
-
Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and jobsite standards.
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities without losing sight of the details.
-
Experience coordinating subcontractors and trade partners.
-
A proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems.
-
Strong attention to quality and workmanship.
-
Comfort working with project schedules and deadlines.
-
Professionalism when working with clients, inspectors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
-
A team-first attitude and willingness to jump in when the job calls for it.
-
Proficiency with common construction technology and project-management software is a plus.
The Superintendent Mindset
A great Superintendent is part scheduler, part coach, part problem-solver, part traffic controller, and occasionally part detective.
You’ll need to recognize when a two-hour delay could become a two-day delay. You’ll need to know when to push, when to listen, and when to stop a problem before it grows teeth. Most importantly, you’ll need to create an environment where people know what is expected, understand the plan, and take pride in the work.
We want a Superintendent who takes ownership without needing a spotlight. Someone who understands that successful projects are built through preparation, communication, consistency, and a healthy respect for both the schedule and the details.
Why This Opportunity?
Because you shouldn’t have to choose between leading great projects and enjoying the work you do.
This is an opportunity to join a construction team that values experienced field leadership, professional standards, strong relationships, and getting the job done correctly. Your experience will matter, your voice will be heard, and your ability to lead will directly influence project success.
If you’re ready to take the reins, lead from the field, and help build something worth talking about, this could be your next great move.
