Superintendent – Colorado (Traveling Position)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage field operations for wastewater construction projects. This is a traveling position, requiring work at various project sites throughout Colorado and potentially other states. The Superintendent is responsible for ensuring all site activities are performed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality specifications.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, high integrity, effective communication, and a proactive approach to project management.
Key Responsibilities

Pre-plan and coordinate all on-site activities to meet project, safety, and quality objectives.

Review project documentation and plans to ensure construction meets all specifications.

Document jobsite conditions with photos and video before and after construction.

Supervise on-site personnel, subcontractors, and vendors.

Maintain project schedules and communicate progress with the Project Manager.

Attend and lead project meetings as needed.

Schedule inspections and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations.

Conduct daily safety inspections and weekly toolbox talks with documentation.

Coordinate and verify training needs in collaboration with the Safety Officer.

Maintain accurate project records including daily logs, production reports, schedules, and change orders.

Submit weekly timecards via Paychex with correct cost coding and notes.

Lead, train, and motivate field crews to ensure quality and efficiency.

Additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager or General Superintendent.
Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in field construction, specifically with wastewater or water treatment projects.

Willingness and ability to travel regularly for project assignments.

Proven leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with scheduling software preferred.

Experience with SAGE Paperless Construction Management a plus.

Strong commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Working Conditions

Outdoor construction environments with exposure to varying weather conditions.

Position may require irregular hours, overnight stays, weekends, and holiday work.

Regular travel is required for project assignments.
Compensation
-
Salary Range: $75,000 – $125,000 per year (DOE)
