What You'll Do
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment performance and reliability.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues with efficiency and accuracy.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Complete detailed service reports, maintenance documentation, and work orders.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs, maintenance recommendations, and equipment operation.
- Perform equipment start-ups, testing, calibration, and system commissioning.
- Coordinate with project managers, field personnel, and internal support teams to ensure successful project completion.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in excellent condition.
- Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Respond to service calls with professionalism, urgency, and a solutions-focused mindset.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience as a Service Technician, Field Service Technician, HVAC Technician, Mechanical Technician, or similar technical role.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to diagnose equipment failures quickly and implement effective repairs.
- Experience working with commercial or industrial equipment.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teammates.
- Comfortable using tablets, mobile devices, and service software for documentation.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical school, trade certification, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
- EPA, OSHA, or manufacturer certifications are a plus.
- Familiarity with PLC controls, VFDs, or industrial automation systems is highly desirable.
