Salary: 190,000 USD - 220,000 USD

The SVP, Credit Manager is the strategic guardian of the balance sheet and the quiet architect behind smart, sustainable growth. This leader sets enterprise-wide credit policy, steers portfolio quality, and partners with executive leadership to ensure risk is understood, measured, and boldly but wisely taken. You will oversee underwriting, portfolio management, and credit administration, bringing clarity to complex transactions and calm to high-stakes decisions.

Equal parts analyst, diplomat, and storyteller, you translate financial nuance into actionable insight, mentor high-performing teams, and build a culture where sound judgment and intellectual curiosity coexist. You thrive in boardroom conversations, enjoy unraveling complicated structures, and believe strong credit is not about saying “no,” but about crafting the right “yes.”

This role calls for deep credit expertise, a strategic mindset, and a dash of personality—someone who respects the numbers, but also the narrative behind them.

  • Build, mentor, and inspire high-performing credit teams, fostering a culture of curiosity, accountability, and sound judgment.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance and readiness for examinations, audits, and internal reviews.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor, bringing both analytical rigor and practical wisdom to strategic initiatives.

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in commercial credit, risk management, or lending, with significant leadership responsibility.

  • Deep expertise in underwriting, credit structuring, portfolio risk, and regulatory standards.

  • Proven ability to evaluate complex financial statements, industries, and capital structures.

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate clearly from the credit committee to the boardroom.

  • A thoughtful leader who balances discipline with creativity and knows when the right answer is “no,” “yes,” or “not yet.”

  • A steady hand, sharp mind, and just enough personality to make serious conversations both productive and human.
