The Opportunity

The SVP of Operations serves as a key member of executive leadership, overseeing the daily operational functions of the bank while driving innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership, ensuring operational infrastructure keeps pace with business growth and evolving customer expectations.

You will collaborate closely with executive leadership, lending teams, compliance, technology, finance, and branch operations to create a seamless banking experience while maintaining the highest standards of risk management and operational integrity.

What You'll Do

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute enterprise-wide operational strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Partner with executive leadership to support growth initiatives, acquisitions, and expansion efforts.
• Lead operational planning, budgeting, and resource allocation activities.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and service excellence.

Operations Management

• Oversee deposit operations, loan operations, branch support, treasury operations, payment systems, and back-office functions.
• Ensure operational workflows remain efficient, scalable, and customer-centric.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and technology enhancements.
• Drive operational performance metrics and service-level objectives across departments.

Regulatory & Risk Oversight

• Maintain compliance with all applicable banking regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Partner with Compliance, Audit, and Risk Management teams to strengthen operational controls.
• Ensure operational readiness for audits, examinations, and regulatory reviews.
• Mitigate operational risk through proactive monitoring and process enhancements.

Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing operational leaders and teams.
• Build succession plans and leadership development initiatives.
• Promote employee engagement, professional growth, and operational excellence throughout the organization.

Technology & Innovation

• Champion digital transformation initiatives and operational modernization efforts.
• Collaborate with technology teams to improve systems, workflows, and customer experience.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and implement solutions that improve efficiency and scalability.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive banking operations leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of retail banking, commercial banking, deposit operations, loan servicing, treasury management, and operational risk management.
• Demonstrated success leading large operational teams and complex banking environments.
• Deep understanding of banking regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
• Proven experience driving process improvement and operational transformation initiatives.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to execute at a high level.
