Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Vice President (SVP), Team Lead to oversee a team of high-performing commercial bankers serving clients across Ontario and Upland, CA. This executive role plays a critical part in driving regional market growth, managing portfolio risk, and developing strong client relationships. The ideal candidate brings a blend of leadership, credit expertise, and community presence in the Inland Empire.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and mentor a team of Commercial Relationship Managers and support staff.

  • Set strategic goals aligned with the bank’s vision for growth and profitability in the Ontario and Upland markets.

  • Promote a high-performance, client-focused culture with an emphasis on collaboration and accountability.

Client Relationship Management

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of complex, high-value commercial banking relationships.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor across a range of industries, including real estate, healthcare, manufacturing, and professional services.

  • Ensure exceptional client service while delivering tailored credit, treasury, and deposit solutions.

Credit & Risk Oversight

  • Provide oversight and guidance on credit structure, underwriting, and risk assessment.

  • Ensure all credits are well-structured, policy-compliant, and meet regulatory standards.

  • Serve as a key liaison with credit administration and loan committee.

Market & Business Development

  • Drive new business acquisition and market penetration in Ontario and Upland.

  • Represent the bank at community and networking events to enhance visibility and pipeline development.

  • Identify strategic growth opportunities and execute on them with speed and precision.

Talent Development

  • Conduct regular coaching, performance reviews, and succession planning.

  • Attract, retain, and develop top talent to build a resilient and growth-minded team.

  • Foster a culture of integrity, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred).

  • 10+ years of commercial banking experience, with 3–5 years in a team lead or senior management role.

  • Strong credit skills with a deep understanding of commercial lending and risk mitigation.

  • Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing complex portfolios.

  • Knowledge of local markets in Ontario, Upland, and the greater Inland Empire is highly preferred.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building abilities.
