Some bankers manage portfolios. Others build ecosystems. We’re looking for a VP Business Banker who can walk into a room full of entrepreneurs, operators, and decision-makers and instantly become the person they trust with the future of their business.

This role is equal parts financial strategist, relationship architect, and opportunity hunter. You’ll work with growing businesses across Texas, helping clients navigate everything from lending and treasury management to expansion planning and long-term financial health. Think less “spreadsheet spectator” and more “quarterback with a calculator.”

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop and manage a diverse portfolio of commercial and business banking relationships
  • Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, community involvement, and strategic prospecting
  • Structure and recommend commercial lending solutions tailored to client goals
  • Partner with credit teams to analyze financials, assess risk, and present sound lending opportunities
  • Deliver treasury management, deposit, and cash flow solutions that help businesses operate smarter
  • Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and consultative service
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities across banking products and services
  • Stay informed on market trends, economic conditions, and local business activity
  • Represent the bank in the community with professionalism, credibility, and the occasional well-timed handshake marathon

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial, business, or relationship banking
  • Strong understanding of commercial credit analysis and underwriting principles
  • Proven ability to develop business and grow client portfolios
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working with privately held businesses, middle-market clients, or commercial customers
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with detail-oriented execution
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field preferred
  • A polished professional presence with enough personality to avoid sounding like a corporate voicemail recording
