What You’ll Do

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial banking relationships with a focus on middle-market and privately held businesses
  • Originate new commercial loan opportunities through networking, referrals, and market development efforts
  • Structure commercial lending solutions including C&I, owner-occupied real estate, investment real estate, and lines of credit
  • Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow trends, and collateral structures to assess creditworthiness
  • Prepare and present credit packages with clear risk analysis and thoughtful recommendations
  • Partner closely with credit administration and underwriting teams to ensure timely, accurate loan processing
  • Maintain strong knowledge of market conditions, industry trends, and competitive banking products
  • Cross-sell treasury management, deposits, and additional banking solutions to deepen client relationships
  • Monitor portfolio performance and proactively manage risk, renewals, and covenant compliance
  • Represent the bank professionally within the community, industry organizations, and networking events

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of commercial lending or relationship management experience
  • Strong commercial credit analysis and financial statement interpretation skills
  • Proven ability to develop business and cultivate long-term client relationships
  • Experience managing commercial loan portfolios and structuring complex transactions
  • Knowledge of banking regulations, lending policies, and risk-management practices
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • High level of professionalism, business acumen, and personal accountability
  • Familiarity with the San Antonio commercial market is highly valued
