You won’t be inheriting a sleepy portfolio hidden beneath spreadsheets and fluorescent lighting. This role is designed for a sharp, ambitious commercial lender who enjoys building meaningful client relationships, uncovering opportunities, structuring sophisticated credit solutions, and becoming a recognized presence in the San Antonio business landscape.

What You’ll Be Driving
- Develop and expand a commercial loan portfolio through strategic business development and relationship cultivation
- Structure and negotiate commercial lending opportunities including C&I, owner-occupied real estate, investment real estate, construction, and working capital facilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business clients by understanding their operations, growth goals, and financial strategies
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow trends, collateral structures, and credit risk
- Partner closely with credit teams to present well-structured lending packages and recommendations
- Maintain strong asset quality through proactive portfolio management and ongoing client engagement
- Identify treasury management, deposit, and cross-sell opportunities that deepen relationships and expand wallet share
- Represent the bank within the community through networking events, industry organizations, and business development initiatives
- Stay informed on market conditions, economic trends, and competitive banking activity throughout the region
What Makes You Dangerous in This Role
- Strong commercial lending and credit analysis experience
- Proven ability to develop business organically and cultivate long-term client relationships
- Confidence structuring complex lending opportunities while balancing growth and risk
- Deep understanding of commercial credit, underwriting, and portfolio management
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to navigate both executive boardrooms and fast-moving entrepreneurial environments
- Strong local market presence or desire to establish one within San Antonio
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field preferred
