What You'll Do
As a VP Commercial Relationship Manager, you'll serve as the primary point of contact for commercial clients, guiding them through financing solutions, treasury management services, and long-term banking strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a diverse portfolio of commercial banking relationships.
- Build trusted partnerships with business owners, executives, and key decision-makers.
- Identify lending opportunities including commercial real estate, C&I, owner-occupied, and working capital facilities.
- Collaborate with credit partners to structure sound lending solutions.
- Generate new business through networking, referrals, community involvement, and strategic prospecting.
- Conduct financial analysis and assess creditworthiness of prospective and existing clients.
- Deepen relationships through treasury management, deposits, and additional bank products.
- Maintain regular client contact and proactively address financial needs.
- Negotiate terms and pricing while balancing customer service with risk management.
- Monitor portfolio performance and ensure ongoing credit quality.
- Represent the bank within the Boise business community and professional organizations.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 5+ years of commercial banking relationship management experience.
- Proven success developing and growing commercial lending portfolios.
- Strong knowledge of commercial credit analysis and underwriting principles.
- Experience with C&I, commercial real estate, and owner-occupied lending.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to simplify complex financial concepts into practical solutions for clients.
- Established business development mindset with a consultative approach.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and risk assessment.
- Knowledge of the Boise market is highly preferred.
