Build Relationships That Move Markets

Some bankers manage portfolios. Others build legacies.

We’re seeking a dynamic, growth-minded VP Relationship Manager to become a trusted financial strategist for middle-market and commercial clients throughout the Seattle region. This is a high-impact role designed for a polished relationship-builder who thrives in competitive markets, sees opportunity before others do, and understands that exceptional banking is equal parts analytics, influence, and execution.

If you enjoy walking into a room and instantly becoming the person clients rely on most, this opportunity was built with your name etched on the doorplate.

You’ll partner with business owners, executives, developers, and entrepreneurs to structure sophisticated commercial banking solutions while expanding a high-value portfolio. From navigating complex credit structures to uncovering new business opportunities, you’ll serve as both financial advisor and strategic growth partner.

This is not a “maintain the status quo” position. It’s a rainmaker role with runway. ????

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop and grow a commercial banking portfolio through strategic business development and relationship expansion
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for middle-market and commercial clients across a variety of industries
  • Structure and negotiate commercial lending opportunities including C&I, CRE, owner-occupied, and investment real estate transactions
  • Collaborate closely with credit partners to analyze risk, structure deals, and deliver thoughtful lending solutions
  • Identify treasury management, deposit growth, and cross-sell opportunities that deepen client relationships
  • Maintain a strong presence in the Seattle business community through networking, industry events, and professional organizations
  • Deliver consultative financial guidance tailored to each client’s operational and growth objectives
  • Monitor portfolio performance, loan quality, covenant compliance, and overall client profitability
  • Navigate complex conversations with confidence, professionalism, and strategic insight
  • Contribute to a culture centered around collaboration, performance, and long-term relationship excellence

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of commercial banking or relationship management experience
  • Strong commercial credit knowledge and underwriting fluency
  • Demonstrated success developing new business and growing client portfolios
  • Experience working with middle-market or commercial clients
  • Strong understanding of treasury management and deposit relationship strategies
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to build trust quickly and maintain long-term client partnerships
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field preferred

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

  • High-visibility role with strong leadership exposure
  • Established institution with an excellent market reputation
  • Competitive compensation with strong incentive upside
  • Robust benefits package including healthcare, retirement, PTO, and professional development
  • Entrepreneurial environment where initiative is recognized and rewarded
  • Opportunity to work with influential Pacific Northwest businesses and decision-makers
  • Career trajectory with room for advancement into senior leadership

The Ideal Candidate

You’re equal parts strategist and connector. You understand financial statements, but you also understand people. You know how to turn introductions into opportunities, opportunities into partnerships, and partnerships into long-term growth.

In a city fueled by innovation, ambition, and relentless momentum, you’ll be the bridge between businesses with vision and banking solutions that help bring those visions to life. ????
