Build Relationships. Create Opportunities. Make an Impact.
Are you a relationship-driven banking professional who knows that exceptional banking is about more than balances, loan commitments, and spreadsheets? Do you have a knack for developing meaningful business relationships, identifying opportunities before they hit the radar, and turning conversations into long-term partnerships? We're looking for a dynamic Vice President Relationship Manager who brings business savvy, entrepreneurial energy, and a genuine passion for building relationships that last.
This is an opportunity to step into a visible, influential role where your connections, commercial instincts, and ability to deliver customized financial solutions will make a meaningful difference. We're looking for someone who can confidently work a room, understand a client's business, recognize opportunities, and bring the right people and resources together to get deals across the finish line.
What You'll Be Doing

Develop, manage, and expand a portfolio of commercial banking relationships, focusing on long-term profitability, client retention, and sustainable growth.
-
Proactively identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities through networking, referrals, centers of influence, community involvement, and strategic prospecting.
-
Build trusted relationships with business owners, executives, investors, and other key decision-makers.
-
Structure and recommend customized commercial lending solutions, including C&I, commercial real estate, and other appropriate banking products and services.
-
Evaluate prospective borrowers, assess creditworthiness, understand financial statements, and identify potential risks and opportunities.
-
Partner with credit, underwriting, treasury management, deposit operations, and internal banking teams to deliver seamless client experiences.
-
Maintain a strong understanding of each client's business model, financial objectives, industry challenges, and future growth plans.
-
Negotiate loan structures, pricing, terms, and conditions while balancing client expectations with sound credit practices.
-
Monitor portfolio performance, maintain appropriate documentation, and proactively address emerging credit concerns.
-
Identify opportunities to deepen existing relationships through deposits, treasury management, cash management, and additional banking services.
-
Represent the organization professionally throughout the local business community and develop a reputation as a knowledgeable, dependable banking partner.
-
Consistently achieve business development, loan production, deposit growth, and profitability objectives.
What We're Looking For
-
Proven experience in commercial banking, relationship management, or commercial lending.
-
Established business relationships and a demonstrated ability to develop new commercial banking opportunities.
-
Strong knowledge of C&I lending, commercial real estate, credit analysis, and loan structuring.
-
Ability to analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, collateral, and borrower performance.
-
Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
-
A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the confidence to pursue opportunities and the judgment to recognize the right ones.
-
Strong understanding of credit policies, risk management, regulatory expectations, and sound lending practices.
-
Ability to balance business development with portfolio management and credit quality.
-
A genuine commitment to client service, collaboration, and professional integrity.
The Personality Behind the Portfolio
We're looking for someone who is personable, driven, commercially minded, and comfortable taking ownership. You understand that relationships aren't built in a single meeting, opportunities don't always come knocking, and successful banking requires both strategic thinking and follow-through.
You bring energy to business development, confidence to the negotiating table, curiosity to every client conversation, and the experience to turn financial needs into practical solutions. You're equally comfortable cultivating a new relationship, reviewing a complicated credit request, or collaborating with your internal team to make a transaction happen.
If you know how to build relationships, grow a portfolio, and make business happen without compromising credit quality, we'd love to meet you!
