The Opportunity

We are seeking a Vice President, SAD Portfolio Manager to bring steady leadership, sharp credit instincts, and a solutions-first mindset to our Special Assets portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, guiding complex relationships through challenging situations while protecting the bank’s interests and preserving long-term value. What You’ll Do

  • Manage and oversee a portfolio of criticized and classified commercial loans, with a focus on remediation, stabilization, and resolution

  • Develop and execute action plans that balance risk mitigation with realistic borrower outcomes

  • Lead restructuring efforts, forbearances, modifications, and exit strategies with confidence and precision

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, collateral evaluations, and cash flow forecasting

  • Partner closely with Credit, Legal, Workout, and Relationship teams to ensure aligned decision-making

  • Present well-reasoned recommendations to senior management and loan committees

  • Maintain clear documentation, compliance, and reporting throughout the life of each asset

  • Serve as a calm, credible point of contact for borrowers during high-stakes situations

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field

  • 7+ years of experience in Special Assets, Workout, Credit Risk, or Commercial Portfolio Management

  • Strong understanding of commercial loan structures, collateral types, and regulatory expectations

  • Proven ability to negotiate, influence, and drive outcomes in complex scenarios

  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, with executive presence

  • A steady hand, sound judgment, and a reputation for follow-through
